P8.8M drugs seized in 2 days

CEBU, Philippines — Over ?8.8 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated by the Police Regional Office-7 during their Simultaneous Anti Criminality Law Enforcement Operation across various parts of the region from August 12 to 14.

During their anti-drug operation, approximately 13 kilograms of suspected shabu were seized in various areas across Central Visayas, leading to the arrest of 85 individuals.

In the crackdown on illegal gambling, operatives carried out 88 operations, resulting in the arrest of 111 individuals and the confiscation of a total of ?10,044.

Regarding wanted persons, nine of the most wanted individuals were apprehended, while a total of 59 other wanted persons were also arrested

In the campaign against loose firearms, 31 firearms were confiscated and 11 individuals were apprehended. — (FREEMAN)
