590 suspects fall in three days
CEBU, Philippines — A total of 590 suspects were arrested by the Police Regional Office (PRO)-7 from June 25 to 27, 2024.
Of the 590 suspects arrested, 181 of them were involved in illegal drugs and 1,200 grams of suspected shabu worth ?6.1 million were seized.
The operatives also arrested 217 illegal gambling suspects and seized more than ?16,000 in bet money.
Eighteen individuals were arrested for illegal possession of firearms while 102 unregistered firearms and three explosives were confiscated.
Police also implemented arrest warrants, leading to the arrest of 174 individuals, including 15 most wanted persons.
PRO-7 Regional Director Brigadier General Anthony Aberin said charges will be filed against the suspects.
“This is the result of consistent anti-criminality efforts all throughout Central Visayas in due observance of the Police Operational Procedures backed up by the unwavering support from the constituents of Central Visayas,” he said. -
