CEBU, Philippines — Another round of financial assistance for infrastructure projects was given by the Cebu provincial government to the towns in the 7th District.

Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia handed over checks totaling ?20.8 million to the mayors and representatives of the eight local government units in the said district during the caravan of services of Cebu Province in Moalboal.

The towns of Dumanjug, Ronda, Alcantara, Moalboal, Badian, Alegria, Malabuyoc, and Ginatilan received ?2 million each from the province for the infrastructure projects in their areas.

Three barangays from each LGU were also given ?200,000 from the Capitol for the different programs. The barangay captains were the ones who received the checks from the governor.

During the said caravan, Capitol officials also brought different services to the constituents of the 7th District as well as prizes to the winners of the different programs it implemented like the Sugbusog program.

At least five piglets were given to the winners of the Sugbusog Season 4 in the Best Purok Category, wherein each winner was given at least two piglets, which was also good timing considering that the Capitol is set to launch the Sugbo Baboyan program next month.

The Badian Police Station also received a pick-up truck after being hailed as the district winner of the Sugbusog sa Estasyonan, while the Badian District Hospital also received a Lite Ace van for being the provincial level winner of the Sugbusog Ospital Season 2. — (FREEMAN)
