Drug courier arrested with shabu worth P11 million

CEBU, Philippines — An alleged drug courier from Cagayan Valley Province was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the operatives of Provincial Intelligence Unit and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Cebu Police Provincial Office Wednesday night in Brgy. Jugan, Consolacion, Cebu.

 The suspect, Stephen Flaviano Solina, 46, a resident of Barangay Dungig, Sta. Teresita, Cagayan Valley, was caught in possession of 1,625 grams of shabu worth P11 million and a caliber .22 revolver with four rounds of ammunition.

Solina admitted to the police that it was his fourth time to deliver drugs in Cebu where he allegedly gets P30,000 per kilo as delivery fee. He said his first delivery happened in January where he allegedly brought in one kilo of drugs. Last March he came here twice to deliver four kilos of shabu.

According to him, from Luzon he would take the Batangas route to Caticlan and Bacolod before heading to Cebu via bus. — FPL (CEBU NEWS)
