CEBU, Philippines — Two beach sites in the Philippines made it to the list of top 50 beaches in the world in 2024, while the Hidden Beach of El Nido, Palawan is now on the Hall of Fame, as announced by the World’s best beaches website.

Palawan’s Entalula beach in El Nido ranked fourth in the 2024 list of top 50 beaches, while Bon Bon Beach in Romblon ranked 45th.

The said website noted that these are less frequented than other beaches in the area.

Entalula Beach features striking limestone cliffs that provide a stunning and dramatic backdrop to its white, sandy shores.

The beach water itself is highlighted for its clear and excellent conditions for both swimming and snorkeling.

“Accessible only by boat, Entalula adds an element of adventure and exclusivity to any visit. Its striking natural features and tranquil atmosphere make it a coveted spot for relaxation and appreciating nature,” the website noted.

Bonbon beach in Romblon for its part, is dubbed as "a laid-back paradise and beckons with its unique sandbar that stretches out to its nearby Bangug Island, the Department of Tourism describes it.”

The selection is based on the beach's uniqueness, wildlife, untouched, soundtrack of nature, easy entry, calmness of water, crowd size, and is frequently idyllic.

The Hidden Beach of El Nido, Palawan, on the other hand, is now part of the 'Hall of Fame' of beaches.

The “Best of the Best” list which the Hidden Beach is part of is made up of beaches that have been named No. 1 in The World’s 50 Best Beaches list in previous years, as well as a select few other beaches deemed deserving of recognition.

“Breathtaking Hidden Beach in El Nido is a unique and truly remarkable beach, tucked away behind towering limestone cliffs that make it invisible from the outside,” the website highlighted.

“This latest accolade reaffirms the Philippines’ reputation as one of the world's premier beach destinations,” DOT shared. — (FREEMAN)
