CEBU, Philippines — Former Cebu City Sangguniang Kabataan Federation president Jessica Resch hopes the new officials led by ex-officio Councilor Rhea Mae Jakosalem would complete the remaining 12 barangays without youth centers at present.

Resch, through the Sugboanon channel, said one of her major accomplishments as SKF president include the setting up of 68 youth centers.

Amoang gipanigurado nga na come up to reality ang youth centers sa mga SK in each barangay. And I m very thankful and blessed that Mayor Mike Rama supported all the programs of the youth,  Resch said.

Resch, who had been named as overseer of the SK affairs, hopes her successor will establish youth centers in the remaining 12 barangays.

Resch, though not naming the barangays without youth centers yet, said that they were not able to establish youth centers in these barangays due to a lack of available spaces.

Resch said she wants to serve as an  ate  or older sister to the city s newly-elected youth leaders.

It is my commitment to the newly-elected and of course, to our fellow youth to continue ang pag-volunteer, ang pagsalig sa atong city government,  Resch said.

Resch had committed to continue supporting the programs for the youth, especially since the Mayor has directed her to support and continue her services as youth overseer in Cebu City.

Along with this, Resch also looks forward to the realization of the Youth Mega Center here together with Jakosalem.

In the future, my vision will be to establish the Mega Youth Center of Cebu City and hopefully it will come to reality anytime soon, with the support of our fellow youth,  Resch said.

The said Mega Youth Center will keep the young Cebuanos familiar with the city s services as it will be a  one-stop shop  for the youth.

I know if first timer ka nga moadto sa City Hall, di ba libog? So with that, ganahan ko e-prioritize ni,  she added. (CEBU NEWS)
