Danao City to host Job Fair, Investment Forum tomorrow

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — As part of its continuing activities for its fiesta celebration, Danao City will be hosting a Job Fair and an Investment forum tomorrow, September 22, 2023 to support its growing economic sector.

Over 2,000 jobs are up for grabs with over 13 IT-BPM companies joining the job fair at CTU-Danao from 8am to 4pm. The Job fair aims to also support the city's first batch of graduates for its free IT-BPM scholarship program, who graduated last September 8, 2023 from different courses offered by the Call Center Academy and TESDA.

Danao City Mayor Thomas Mark Mix Durano stressed though that the job fair is not just for the new IT-BPM scholars and residents of the city, but is open for everybody. Among the job opportunities open are for customer relations officers, recruitment supervisors, data entry operators, computer systems engineers, computer programmers, and a lot more.

Apart from the job fair, an investment forum will also be taking place at CTU-Danao tomorrow from 10am to 2pm where the city's current and potential investors and stakeholders will be participating.

This is in line with the city's goal to be the next investment hub of the Province, and has been pushing hard on efforts to strengthen the city's investment market.

Last year, Danao City activated its Danao City Investment and Promotions Center which has already organized several events including a Business Summit and a Business Expo.

The city has also activated its Danao City Investment and Incentives Board (DCIIB) that directly engages with the private sector in terms of developmental decisions; and the activation of the Danao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCCI). (FREEMAN)
