Visayas truckers ready to face the challenges head on
CEBU, Philippines — The Visayas United Truckers Association Incorporated (VUTA Inc.) led by its newly-inducted president Israel Alin said the group will pay a courtesy call on newly-assumed Land Transportation Office-7 regional director Glen Galario to talk about challenges hounding the trucking industry in the Visayas.
Israel, chief executive officer of Alin Cargo Express and one of the founders of VUTA Inc., said their membership is composed of 71 truckers with over 7,000 trucks operating the area.
It is with this number that they have to police their own ranks to ensure the safety of their units especially when they are dealing with the public.
Alin, together with other newly-elected officers of VUTA Inc., took their oath of office before lawyer Constancia “Connie” Lim, manager of the Office of the Vice President satellite office in Cebu City.
“By fostering an environment of inclusivity, respect, and collaboration, we can leverage our collective strengths, transcend boundaries, and stand as an unwavering force within the Visayas trucking community. Together, we will create a vibrant network where ideas flow, partnerships thrive, and mutual support flourishes,” said Alin, in his speech.
Alin said that it is his honor to serve this distinguished organization and lead their collective efforts towards unity and excellence in the dynamic trucking industry of the Visayas region.
“Together, we embark on an exciting new chapter, filled with immense potential and the promise of a brighter future. Unity is the cornerstone of our association's strength. As we come from various backgrounds, each with our unique perspectives and experiences, let us unite under a common purpose,” said Alin.
Alin also encouraged their members to embrace innovation, cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, and invest in the skills and knowledge of their own members.
“By pushing the boundaries of excellence, we will not only elevate the trucking industry within the Visayas but also inspire others to join us on this transformative journey. Excellence is the driving force that propels us forward. It is our unwavering commitment to delivering the highest standards of service, safety, and professionalism in every aspect of our operations,” Alin added.
As the new president of the organization, Alin said that he is fully committed to fostering an environment that encourages collaboration, open communication, and shared success.
Together, he said, they will embark on initiatives that address industry challenges, promote sustainable practices, and advocate for the interests of our members.
He added that by engaging in constructive dialogue and actively participating in the decision-making processes, each member will have a voice in shaping the future of the trucking industry in the Visayas.
“I call upon each one of you to actively participate, share your expertise, and contribute your unique perspectives. Together, we possess the power to drive positive change, uplift our fellow trucking professionals, and establish the Visayas Unified Trucking Association as a beacon of excellence and unity,” Alin said.
He further encouraged the members to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead with enthusiasm and determination as by working hand in hand, they will overcome obstacles, seize new possibilities, and make a lasting impact on the trucking industry in the Visayas.
“With unity as our bond and excellence as our compass, together, we will embark on an extraordinary journey that will shape the trucking industry in the Visayas region for generations to come,” Alin further said. — (FREEMAN)
