960 tanods to get stipend today
CEBU, Philippines — Today, 960 barangay tanods from 48 villages in Cebu City can claim their honoraria for the months of November and December 2018.
To recall, some tanods complained last January 9 about the delay in the releasing of their P4,000 honoraria.
Cebu City Office for Substance Abuse Prevention (COSAP) Chief Garry Lao said the releasing of the honoraria will be on a “first come, first serve” basis.
"In 80 barangays, inig submit nila, naa man gyud dili magdungan unya ang uban naa'y suspension," Lao explained.
If the tanods fail to submit the necessary documents every first week of the month, the distribution and rechecking will be prolonged.
After its submission, the next three days will be intended for rechecking of the documents; which includes obligation request, payroll, authority to serve, daily time record, accomplishment report, and barangay certificate.
"There is no delay in the releasing of honorarium for tanods, its just that there are lacking documents or attachments when they submit their reports," Lao said.
Tanods can claim their honoraria at the Cebu City Treasurer's Office.
