Aussie, Filipina spouse nabbed in rape of 14-year-old daughter
CEBU, Philippines - An Australian national and his Filipina live-in partner were arrested over allegation that he raped the Filipina’s 14-year-old daughter with her consent on Wednesday in Bogo City.
Arrested were Stephen Baker, 59, and his Filipina spouse, who allegedly forced her daughter to have sex with the foreigner.
Police Officer 3 Glecilda Claro of the Women’s and Children’s Protection Desk of Bogo City Police Station said prior to the couple’s arrest, they received a call informing them of an “incest” incident in Bogo City.
In an interview with Claro, the girl disclosed that Baker raped her at the house they were renting.
Before sexually abusing her, the girl alleged her mother told her to watch lewd movies with the two of them.
A few minutes later, her mother told her to have sex with Baker. She refused but her mother allegedly scolded her.
The Australian succeeded in having sexual intercourse with the girl in front of her mother.
After hearing the girl’s confession, a team of police proceeded to the couple’s house and arrested the two.
The police are contemplating on filing charges for violation of the Anti-Rape Law and of the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012, and for Violation Against Women and their Children against the suspects.
Baker and the girl’s mother are now temporarily detained at the police station while the victim was taken into police custody for medical examination. —NSA (FREEMAN)
