Beverage firm workers robbed by armed men

CEBU, Philippines -   Three employees of a beverage manufacturing company were robbed by three armed men onboard a motorcycle in Barangay Dakit, Bogo City, Cebu Friday afternoon.

 Fifty-seven-year-old Ulysses Seville, a promo salesman; 21-year-old Junrey Laping, driver; and 45-year-old Tomasito Sena, truck helper were about to enter the warehouse of Asia Brewery Incorporated at past 5 p.m. when three men arrived and declared a hold-up.

 At gunpoint, the robbers ordered the victims, who are employed by Tanduay Distillers Inc., to give them their money.

 They took from the victims the company’s P40,000 day’s sales as well as Laping’s wallet containing P1,800 cash and driver’s license, assorted official receipts, cellular phone, and back pack.

 The three employees were then reportedly ordered by the robbers to enter the back of their delivery van before they sped off onboard a black XRM motorcycle without a plate number attached.

 The victims described one of the robbers as wearing a white T-shirt, the second one wearing a black shirt, and the third sporting a sweatshirt.

The police are conducting follow-up operations to identify and arrest the culprits.  (FREEMAN)
