Toledo official’s daughters lose valuables to burglar

CEBU, Philippines - Toledo City Vice Mayor Arlene “Dydee” Zambo’s daughters were victimized by an unidentified burglar in Barangay Kasambagan yesterday morning.

Alyssa Joan Zambo, 18 and Maria Charo Rita Zambo, 21, lost their valuables in a burglary inside their residence in Roga Subdivision, Corinthia, Barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City at around 5:00 a.m.yesterday.

The suspect carted Alyssa’s brown wallet which contained P2,000 cash, ATM card and some pertinent papers.

The suspect also stole Maria’s BlackBerry mobile phone worth P17,000; brown bag worth P1,500 and a wallet which contained some cards.

Ocular investigation led by SPO2 Henry Estoy revealed that the lone suspect was described as slim and covered his face with cloth. The suspect reportedly entered the house by opening the ground floor glass sliding door and then went to the second floor where the room of the victims was situated.

Due to the noise created by the suspect, Alyssa woke up and screamed as she saw the suspect who managed to flee.

The suspect’s escape was captured by the neighbor’s CCTV camera.

The house helpers reportedly tried to chase the suspect but failed.

Police have lifted prints possibly left by the suspect.— (FREEMAN)
