CEBU, Philippines - Cebu Provincial Police Office Director Patrocinio Comendador said they are set to file charges against the three suspects tagged responsible for the death of two men in Carcar City last Wednesday.
Comendador directed his men to look for the suspects who are members of a certain group but refused to disclose the names of the three suspects as well as other details on their affiliations.
The director said they will file murder charges against the three suspects if they will still remain at large after a week.
The police are very careful in giving out any information regarding their investigation to avoid jeopardizing their ongoing operations.
The three suspects are tagged in the killing of a certain “Glen” of Dauis, Mayacabac, Bohol; and Reggie Pabroa, 16, of Sitio Luan-Luan, Barangay Poblacion 1, of the same city who just came from a drinking session from a friend’s house.
Both victims were declared dead on arrival at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center last May 30.
Juanito Saraga, 41, also of Dauis, Mayacabac, Bohol, was hit by a stray bullet on his right thigh but is already out of harm’s way.
Investigation revealed that two of the three assailants were onboard a motorcycle when they went past the victims and fired at them. The suspects then fled towards Sitio Dapdap, Barangay Poblacion III.
Five empty shells from a cal. 9mm pistol and two slugs from an unidentified gun were recovered by the police at the crime scene.
Comendador said the incident might be linked with an earlier shooting incident at Sitio Upper Tubod, Barangay Valladolid, of the same city, two weeks ago, where a 13-year-old boy was injured.
They are also not discounting the possibility that the incident might be related to the death of Carl Vinson Apura, son of Carcar City Mayor Nicepuro Apura who was shot in a benefit concert last month. (FREEMAN)
