CEBU, Philippines - Teachers in public elementary schools in Cebu City will start receiving their yearend bonus today.
This was the statement made by Department of Education regional director Ricaredo Borgonia yesterday following complaints that the teachers failed to receive their bonus last November 15.
“They will receive their bonus tomorrow,” Borgonia told The FREEMAN.
He said under the guidelines, the bonus was supposed to be released on or before November 15, but it was delayed due also to the delay in the processing of the checks.
The city has over 4,000 public elementary school teachers who will receive half of their monthly salary as yearend bonus. (FREEMAN)
