UV unveils new logo

CEBU, Philippines - The University of the Visayas, headed by its President, first district Rep. Eduardo R. Gullas, and Executive Vice President Jose R. Gullas, yesterday unveiled the new UV logo. The launching, which was held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, was attended by members of the school administration, Department of Education officials, alumni and the media.

Gullas said the new logo is symbolic of the university’s commitment to excellence and quality education. Genesis Rana, who conceptualized the new logo, said the university’s new direction in this modern age. “While conceptualizing the new logo, I had in mind UV’s tradition of excellence and its almost-century existence. Although I retained the university colors of white and green, I modernized the tint of green. Simplicity and clarity was really the key to conceptualizing the new logo,” he said. (FREEMAN)
