Man to sue firm for seizing motorcycle

CEBU, Philippines - A driver of an FM radio station is contemplating on filing charges against a motorcycle company for allegedly taking his motorcycle away last Friday afternoon without his knowledge.

William Armian, 30, a driver of Hot FM, said he parked his Wave-R 100 with plate number 7774-GP outside his house in sitio Kamagong, Barangay Lahug when he learned at past 2pm that it had been missing. He immediately went to the office of the motorcycle company along General Maxilom Avenue supposedly to report the incident only to find out that it was the company that took the motorcycle away.

It turned out that Armian failed to meet the deadline for the motorcycle’s monthly amortization, which prompted the company to take the motorcycle from him. However, Armian reasoned that he should have been informed of the move, especially that the motorcycle’s U-box reportedly contained P3,700 cash at that time.

He alleged that the company declined to return the money unless he pays his bill in full.

Meanwhile, at about 7pm on the same day, a woman lost her shoulder bag to an unidentified snatcher in Barangay Mabolo.

Angelique Balderas reported to the police that she was standing in front of the Florencio Orot Elementary School along J. Luna Avenue when a man snatched her shoulder bag.

The bag, she alleged, contained her wallet with P6,000 cash, a pouch worth P3,000, assorted cards, and branded eye glasses. — (FREEMAN)
