Jealous man shoots live-in partner dead
CEBU, Philippines - A former Overseas Filipino Worker is now a subject of a manhunt operation by the Lapu-Lapu City police after he shot dead his live-in partner for allegedly having an illicit love affair.
Julius Arcadio Dungog, 29, killed his live-in partner Chona Alcazaren Davajo, 21, yesterday morning by shooting her in the head at the height of their argument.
The incident happened at the house of the victim’s aunt in Purok Saging, Barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City.
Davajo slept in her aunt’s house during that night to avoid quarrelling with the suspect. Police Officer 2 Carlos Barluado of the Lapu-Lapu City police said that the couple had a heated argument Saturday night because Dungog believes that his live-in partner is having an affair with another man.
To avoid quarrel, Davajo decided to spend the night in her auntie’s house, which is just few meters away from their house.
However, Dungog followed Davajo yesterday morning supposedly to settle their misunderstanding but instead ended in a tragedy.
After shooting his live-in partner, Dungog fled on foot. —/FPL (FREEMAN)
