City Hall's frontline services in Tisa today

CEBU, Philippines - Residents of Barangay Tisa and neighboring barangays will enjoy today the frontline services of the Cebu City Government without having to be at the City Hall.

The city government brings its frontline services closer to the people through “City Hall at Your Doorstep Program” wherein 11 departments and offices of Cebu City will provide free services to the residents.

It will be held today at the Riva Ridge Complex from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Free services include search and destroy, water sampling, mapping of street vendors and medical and dental clinic to be provided by the City Health Department.

The City Agriculture Office will provide free seedlings while the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Fisheries will offer free ligation for cats and dogs.

Free laboratory services such as blood typing, blood sugar count, hematocrit determination, dengue check and Hepatitis B test will be provided by the Cebu City Medical Center.

The City Civil Registrar’s Office will give free late registration on birth, marriage, death as well as advices on clerical errors.

Feeding and parent effectiveness services including mother’s class will be provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Services while the Manpower and Placement Department will conduct pre-registration and pre-screening on Job Fair Employment Referral.

The Department of Public Services will do inspection on lighting and sanitation in the barangay. DPS will also conduct declogging of canals.

There will be a seminar on drugs and rehabilitation to be facilitated by the Cebu City Office for Substance Abuse Prevention (Cosap).

Personnel from City Traffic Operations and Management will also be there to conduct a seminar on traffic rules for habal-habal and trisikad drivers.

The Division for the Welfare of the Urban Poor is ready to answer queries on demolition of illegal structures. (FREEMAN)
