Woman dies of electric shock
CEBU, Philippines - A farmer was electrocuted inside a hacienda in Barangay Danasan, Danao City Wednesday morning.
Lucila Roble Rubio, 44, married and a farmer who resides in the same barangay died of electric shock after she accidentally touched a live electric wire around 10 am while doing her job as laborer in the hacienda.
Initial investigation showed that the victim touched an uninsulated wire of a water pump inside the hacienda owned by Miguel Tiongco.
The victim sustained multiple burns in both hand, feet and different parts of her body causing her untimely death.
The police are still conducting further investigation to determine whether there was foul play in the incident and to determine the possible liability of the owner of the hacienda. (FREEMAN)
