CEBU, Philippines – An owner of an Internet café and cellular phone gadget shop was shot dead by an assailant outside his shop in Barangay Bulacao around 1 a.m. yesterday.
Joemar Obinar, 34, owner of Wel Gadget Prone Trading located in Sitio Cabancalan 2 of the said barangay died of a gunshot wound to the head that killed him instantly.
Investigation showed that the victim was closing his Internet café when an unidentified man appeared and shot him.
No empty shell was recovered from the crime scene which would suggest that the assailant used a revolver.
PO3 Victor Ruel Ayuman of the Homicide Section said they have no leads yet as to the possible motive behind the incident.
"Blangko pa gyud mi," he said.
He also said no witnesses have come forward and they have yet to talk with the fatality's family.
They surmise that someone could be mad against the victim over personal or business matters.
But his family said the victim had no known enemies. (FREEMAN)
