More police vigilance in Liloan

CEBU, Philippines – To be able to lure investors, Liloan town is asking the police to intensify the campaign against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, and other vices concerning the youth.

Liloan Mayor Vincent Francio "Duke" Frasco called a meeting with the members of the Municipal Peace and Order Council to discuss the peace and order situation in the town.

Although Liloan is generally peaceful, Frasco said the police should be vigilant and closely monitor new residents in every barangay.

Frasco said with the increasing number of subdivisions in Liloan, a big number of people would be coming to the town.

"Gikinahanglan gayud kaayo nga mapaabot nato ngadto sa katawhan sa lungsod sa Liloan nga walay problema ang ilang pagpuyo sa lungsod," said Mayor Frasco.

Aside from assuring the safety and security of the people, Mayor Frasco said some businessmen who wish to invest in Liloan have to know the place is safe to put up a business. (FREEMAN)
