CEBU, Philippines – A 15-year-old female high school student was shot dead while she was attending a dance party in sitio Soong, barangay Mactan in Lapu-Lapu City last Sunday night.
Rica Mae Inot, a resident of barangay Bankal and a 2nd year high school student of Bankal National High School, was shot in the forehead by an unidentified juvenile on a motorcycle.
Inot died on the spot. Her body is now at the Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes.
Witnesses said the juvenile rode a motorcycle which was driven by a female. They said the motorcycle bore the plate number 7839.
According to Homicide chief inspector Juan Capacio, the girl went to this dance party with three friends in barangay Mactan when the gunman appeared and shot her.
The gunman immediately went back to the motorcycle and sped off towards barangay Bankal.
Capacio said the suspects were identified by witnesses as a certain "Kiboy" and "She."
The suspects are reportedly juveniles.
Police said "Kiboy" was mauled by a group of minors earlier that day. He went home and went to the disco that night.
"Kiboy" reportedly was disappointed to find out that the group he was looking for was not there, so fired his gun that killed Inot.
"Aside sa biktima, gi-adto namo ang alleged suspects sa ila pero wala ngadto but among giingnan ang ginikanan sa suspects nga ipa-surrender ang ilang anak aron malimpyo ang ilang mga pangalan," Capacio said. (THE FREEMAN)
