CEBU, Philippines - A seaman lost his life to two unidentified robbers who barged into his house in Sitio Tunga, barangay Cantuod, Balamban, Cebu last Sunday evening.
The robbers shot Vincent Delfin Recamora, 43, at close range several times before taking away some P300,000 from him.
Recamora was watching television in their living room when the two unidentified armed robbers, wearing all black and bonnets to hide their faces, entered the house by destroying their backdoor.
SPO3 Arvie Banate told The Freeman that the wife of Recamora saw the two robbers but failed to recognize them because their faces were covered. The wife who was inside the bedroom together with their four year old child was allegedly alerted by the commotion in their living room when her husband tried to fight with the robbers.
When the wife checked to find out what was the commotion all about she saw the two robbers and her husband fighting. However, the wife returned to the bedroom out of fear leaving her husband alone to fight with the criminals.
Several gun burst followed and the wife later found her husband dead, Banate said.
The robbers escaped and took a bag containing P300,000 earnings from their store at the Balamban Public Market. The police recovered seven empty shells of caliber .45 bullets at the crime scene.
“As of this time, dili pa cooperative ang pamilya sa biktima pero nagpadayon gihapun ang among investigation. Naa na mi mga angulo nga gisubay bahin sa maong panghitabo. ” Banate said.
The victim had just resigned from his job as a seaman because of health problems. (FREEMAN NEWS)
