USC stude places 2nd in ChE licensure exam
CEBU, Philippines - A chemical engineering student from the University of San Carlos placed second in the Chemical Engineering licensure examination held this month.
Mieljoy Matizado Lagarbe finished second with a rating of 81.90.
One-hundred sixty-one of the 329 takers, or 45.90 percent, passed the exam given by the Board of Chemical Engineering in Manila last April 20 to 22.
First in the list of top ten board exam takers is from De La Salle University-Manila with an average of 82.50.
Third in the list after Lagarbe is a student from the Mapua Institute of Technology.
Last year, USC also produced a topnotcher in the same licensure examination.
The oathtaking ceremony for the successful examinees as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Profession will be on May 29, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Hotel Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, CCP Complex in Pasay City.
Registration for the oathtaking ceremony and for membership with the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers will be after the registration as a professional with the board and the commission. (FREEMAN NEWS)
