30 police officers needed

CEBU, Philippines - The Police Regional Office-7 announced the other day of the recruitment of 30 police officers (or PO1s) to be detailed at the Police Community Relations Group in Camp Crame, Quezon City for this year.

It is required that a PO1 applicant must be a Filipino citizen, a person with good moral character, must have passed the psychiatric/psychological drug and physical tests to be administered by the Philippine National Police or by any National Police Commission-accredited government hospital for the purpose of determining the applicant’s physical and mental health; must possess a formal baccalaureate degree from a recognized learning institution; must be Napolcom eligible; must not have been dishonorably discharged from military employment or dismissed for cause from any civilian position or in the government; must not have been convicted by any final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude; must be at least 5’4” in height for male and at least 5’2” for female; and must not be less than 21 years old or more than 30.

Applicants must also possess the appropriate eligibility from any of the following examinations: Bar and Board, PNP entrance exam, license for criminologists, and Civil Service Professional Exam.

Graduates of Mass Communications, Education, Journalism, Sociology, Social Work and other courses related to community work are preference to the recruitment.
