300 marijuana stalks uprooted in Danao

CEBU, Philippines - At least 300 stalks of fully grown marijuana were uprooted in Barangay Pili, Danao City last Saturday morning.

Operatives from Danao City Police Station led by SPO1 Lolito Oliverio together with the elements of the 78th Infantry Battalion went to the area to supposedly serve a warrant of arrest when the chanced upon the marijuana plantation.

A report that reached the Cebu Provincial Police Office said the authorities immediately uprooted the plants and brought them to the police station for proper disposition.

The police have no idea about the owner or caretaker of the marijuana plantation as it was allegedly left unattended in the area. — Gabriel C. Bonjoc/WAB  (FREEMAN NEWS)
