Two stabbed in disco brawl

CEBU, Philippines - Two persons were injured in separate incidents that happened during a disco in two different places in Daanbantayan early morning Saturday.

Reden Areglo, a deaf mute, 41, of Escario St., Barangay Poblacion was hacked in different part of his body when he tried to pacify a group of men quarreling inside the disco area.

Areglo was allegedly dancing with his friends when at about 2:30 a.m., a trouble erupted between the group of certain Rex Arsolon and Michael Condes and Fricks Mendoza.

The victim allegedly pacified and tried to stop them, which Condes and Mendoza heeded. However, Arsolon immediately ran away from the place prompting the two to run after him. When Arsolon got out of their sight, the two allegedly got angry and went back to the victim and hacked him several times.

The suspects then hurriedly left the area and remain at large until now while Areglo was rushed by his friends to Daanbantayan District Hospital.

In Barangay Calapi of the same town, Jonathan Arcenal, 30, of Sitio Cambado, Barangay Bagay, was stabbed by Teodoro Valiente and Angel Maluya also during a disco.
