2 hurt in separate stabbing incidents in Cebu City

-

CEBU, Philippines - Separate drinking sprees in Cebu City left two men severely injured after stabbed by no less than their drinking buddies last Monday.

The recent incident happened at past 2 p.m. at the back of G. Labra Street wherein Renyel Mancao, 25, of barangay Sambag II was suddenly stabbed by Allan Amamangpang of Casay, Dalaguet.

The victim told police that he was having a drinking session with friends Nilo Caburda and a certain Pugak and when they were about to go home, the suspect, who earlier joined them in the session, approached them and suddenly stabbed him on the back.

The suspect then left the area right away while the victim was rushed to the Cebu City Medical Center.

The victim could not tell what could have triggered the suspect to stab him.

In another incident that happened at 2 a.m. at F. Jaca Street, barangay Inayawan, 27-year-old Perseus Abella, of sitio Lomboy in the said barangay was allegedly stabbed by his relative, Dominique Abella.

The victim alleged that he was having a drinking session with friends Boy Jun Daculan, Juhnard Manicap and Chris Jun Abaselo on the roadside, part of the merriment as they were celebrating the fiesta, when the suspect stabbed the victim hitting him in the back and in the right torso.

The suspect fled while the victim was rushed to the CCMC.

The victim reportedly called the attention of the suspect not to play with the gun he was holding but the suspect reportedly got irked and allegedly stabbed Perseus with an ice pick. – Niña G. Sumacot/MEEV (THE FREEMAN)
