City Hall worker caught punching DTR of fellow employee

-

CEBU, Philippines – A female employee of the Cebu City Hall was caught on the act of illegally punching the daily time record (DTR) of her fellow employee.

City legal officer Joseph Bernaldez said they would summon Glynis M. Alingasa of the city engineering department to answer allegations that she was caught by members of City Hall’s Civil Security Unit punching the DTR card of June Nadine Sison.

Guard Crisanto Factolerin said their office had received a report from an informer that some personnel of the city engineer’s office would arrive late but somebody would just punch in their daily time record.

Factolerin was assigned by CSU chief Vicente Quintana to monitor the activities of the personnel of city engineer’s office, which is situated along D. Jakosalem Street.

Shortly before 8 a.m. last July 3, Factolerin saw Alingasa punching her card into the DTR machine. But the guard was surprised when the woman returned bringing another card and then punched it into the machine.

Factolerin quickly approached Alingasa and asked her whose card she was punching into the machine for the second time. He found out that it does not belong to her.

“Kun mamatud-an sa imbistigasyon nga gihimo kini sa maong kawani, masuspenso siya sa katungdanan kay maisip kini nga dishonesty,” Bernaldez told The Freeman.

Bernaldez assigned the case to one of his subordinates and ordered him to submit a recommendation.

The City Hall guards are also monitoring other departments because similar activity is also being done by other employees. — Rene U. Borromeo/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
