CEBU, Philippines - An unidentified man was found dead inside his rented room around 2 p.m. yesterday in Ruftan Pension House along Legaspi Street, Cebu City.
SPO4 Alex Dacua of the Cebu City Police Office’s Homicide Section said there was no single injury found on the man’s body but a lot of blood was seen on the floor that came from his mouth, which was also stained with blood.
The victim was allegedly Tagalog-speaking, estimated to be 45 to 50 years old with a bald forehead, stood around 5’3 to 5’4 tall, regular built, and dark-skinned.
Dacua said that the man, who reportedly checked in at the pension house on June 18, had been dead for more or less 24 hours already.
The pension house’s stay-in room boy Josefino Ornopia, 32, was the one who discovered the dead body.
Ornopia allegedly knocked at the victim’s door to have it cleaned but since there was no response, he opened the door and found the guest’s body on the floor lying flat on his stomach.
Dacua said the victim’s body was taken to Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes yesterday and will be subjected for an autopsy to determine the cause of his death. — Niña G. Sumacot/WAB (THE FREEMAN)
