More sex scandal DVDs seized

-

CEBU, Philippines – More pirated DVDs and CDs believed to contain the highly publicized sex scandal of sexy actress Katrina Halili and aesthetic surgeon Hayden Kho were confiscated by the Philippine National Police- Aviation Security Group at the Mactan Cebu International Airport the other night.

P/Supt. Joselito Salido, chief of the PNP-ASG told The Freeman yesterday that 71 kilograms of pirated DVDs and CDs were alerted after 217 kilograms of these items were earlier confiscated by the Bureau of Customs-Enforcement and Security Service.

Salido said that his personnel were on alert and especially monitoring the first and last flights of the airline companies because it was believed that products of such nature are being sneaked in during these flights.

“But since nabulabog na ni, maybe some unscrupulous individuals may try to sneak in anytime, so we have an instruction that we have to be vigilant in all flights,” Salido said.

Salido further revealed that the 71 kilos of DVDs and CDs are now at the warehouse of Philippine Airlines upon the instruction of BOC-ESS.

BOC-ESS officer-in-charge, Capt. George Macarubbo has written Salido that the new confiscated DVDs and CDs should be put in one place with the previous apprehension.

Earlier, Macarubbo, in his memorandum for Mactan Subport collector Rene Benavides, requested that the 217 kilos of DVDs and CDs be deposited at the warehouse pending the issuance of a warrant of seizure and detention against the shipment.

Salido said that the newly-confiscated items are consigned to a certain Salvador Ramos. —Mitchelle L. Palaubsanon/WAB (THE FREEMAN)
