CEBU, Philippines - The new chief of the Police Aviation Security Group at the Mactan Cebu International Airport formally assumed his post in a simple turnover ceremony yesterday.
P. Supt. Joselito Salido was warmly welcomed in his new position, as he warned that he would punish subordinates who will do foolishness in service.
“As your chief, I will render full support to those personnel doing their job well and I’m your worst nightmare if you do some foolishness or shenanigans in your job,” Salido said in his inaugural speech.
Salido said that as public servant, they should serve the people well regardless of status in life, age, race, religion, and political affiliations.
“And you will be rewarded for doing so. If not in our command but God would, He is not sleeping. We have to be polite even under pressure,” said Salido, who replaced Police Senior Supt. Rey Tañada. — Mitchelle L. Palaubsanon/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
