CEBU, Philippines - Four women were robbed by two armed men past noon yesterday along B. Rodriguez St., barangay Sambag 2, Cebu City.
The victims were identified as Sherilyn Villavelez, 29, of Talisay City; Norma Pahayahay, 29, of Minglanilla town; Diane Veloso, 25, of Apas Lahug, and Eleonor Araneta, a student and resident of barangay Lahug, Cebu City.
The four immediately went to the Fuente police station to have the incident reported.
PO1 Liezel Tumada of the said police station said that the four victims were on board a 12L jeepney plying the route Labangon to Ayala Center when upon reaching N. Bacalso Ave. corner V. Rama Ave., two men hailed the PUJ and sat in the back.
When the vehicle reached B. Rodriguez, the two men suddenly pulled out guns and declared a hold-up.
The four victims had no choice but to turn over their bags and cellular phones to the said robbers.
The robbers then disembarked right after the incident while the victims went to Fuente police station.
A hot pursuit operation was immediately carried out by the police against the two fleeing robbers. — Niña G. Sumacot/BRP (THE FREEMAN)
