In his affidavit, Martinez said that around 2 a.m. of the said date, he was waiting for a ride in Peace Valley in barangay Capitol Site when a taxi with passengers passed by him but made a U-turn and returned to where he was standing and announced a holdup.
One of the suspects pointed a gun at him and demanded him to hand over his personal belongings consisting of his wallet with cash worth P3,800; wristwatch worth P2,500; and a mobile phone worth P3,800.
When the taxi left, he took note of the body number and reported the matter to the police that led to the arrest of the suspects.
In the police station, the victim positively identified the three as the ones who held him up. His belongings were also found in the suspects’ possession.
