Burglars steal P500T cash, items from house

Cebu - Over half a million pesos in cash and personal belongings were taken by burglars who broke into a house along V. Rama Ave., barangay Calamba, Cebu City, short past midnight the other night.

The victim, Susan Valmayor, 44, told police that aside from P1,000 and $400 cash, the unidentified robber took jewelry and items worth P540,000.

Among the items stolen was a laptop worth P80,000, bracelets worth P95,000, a ring worth P25,000, five necklaces worth P120,000, a wristwatch worth P25,000 and assorted jewelry worth P95,000.

Investigators of the Theft and Robbery Section led by SPO1 Mario Pasuelo said the burglars entered the house of the victim by forcibly opening the back door of the house. — Niña Chrismae G. Sumacot/BRP (THE FREEMAN)
