2 women charged for selling shabu
CEBU - The Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office elevated drug charges against two women for selling .02 grams of shabu last month.
Petra Vano and Rosalinda Omega were arrested last November 26 during a buy-bust operation conducted in barangay Tinago.
PO1 Jose Randel Buscato, who acted as a poseur-buyer, said they conducted the operation upon a tip that Vano was selling drugs at her residence.
With a team of policemen as backup, Buscato then went to Vano’s house and pretended to buy shabu worth P300.
The tip was confirmed when Vano asked Buscato to first show the money before she told Omega to get the substance from inside the house.
When Omega returned with packet of shabu, Buscato discretely dialed his teammates who immediately came out of hiding and made the arrest.
Vano and Omega were arrested along with several drug paraphernalia seized from inside the house.
The two are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. — Jasmin R. Uy/JMO (THE FREEMAN)
