Navforcen gives gifts to nearby barangays

-

CEBU - As part of the civil service function of the Navy, The Naval Forces Central (Navforcen) is sharing the joy brought by the spirit of Christmas through reaching out to their poor fellow Cebuanos in Lapu-Lapu City last December 19.

The Navforcen reached out to ten indigent families of barangays Canjulao and Looc in Lapu-Lapu. It was part of the command’s Christmas celebration with the theme “Pamilyang Sama-sama sa Kapaskuhan sa Kanayunan.”

They distributed food packages composed of assorted groceries, used clothing, four kilos of rice and assorted toys for the kids to each family beneficiary. The distribution was led by Navforcen commander Capt. Honorio Robert E. Balanon Jr.

Balanon said that Christmas season is the time for thanksgiving.

Since barangay Looc and Canjulao are two neighboring barangays, it is just right to share blessings in their own little way.  – Jessica Ann R. Pareja/BRP (THE FREEMAN)
