"Pasko sa Uptown" for less fortunate kids

CEBU - The Cebu City-Progressive Uptown Movement (CC-PUM) launched its first major activity, the “Pasko sa Uptown” where less-fortunate children from nine barangays were invited to participate.

Chai Barawidan, of the CC-PUM’s Committee on Programs and Nightly Activities, said that there will be different presentations to entertain the kids like clowns, parlor games and a film showing.

This event will run from today to December 24 at Fuente Osmeña from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Children from barangays Cogon-Ramos, Day-As, Zapatera, Kamagayan, Sambag I, Sambag II, Camputhaw, Sta. Cruz, and Capitol Site have been invited.

CC-PUM sees this activity as a way to envision their goal of being the voice of the uptown business sector and to give assistance wherever possible.

“Let’s give the children a good Christmas,” project director Bill Hillditch said. Food and medical assistance will be provided by CC-PUM. — Harry Vincent H. Cañeda (CIT Masscom intern)/BRP
