Two women charged for selling shabu
A lesbian and her alleged cohort are now facing charges of possession of illegal drugs after they tried to sell alleged shabu to a policeman during a buybust operation last November 26.
Petra Vaño and Rosalinda Omega, both of legal age, were charged with Violation of Section 5 of Republic Act 9165 or the Anti-Dangerous Drugs Act before the Regional Trial Court last Friday.
Police reportedly recovered .02 grams of shabu from the two accused during the operation.
PO1 Jose Randel Buscato, the police who acted as the poseur buyer during the buy bust operation, said in his affidavit that they acted on information relayed to them that a certain Petra Vaño has been selling illegal drugs in Barangay Tinago.
Buscato said that they went to the house of Vaño along with a team of policeman. Buscato pretended to be a drug user wanting to buy drugs at P300
Upon reaching Vaño’s place, Buscato asked her if he could buy shabu worth P300 but she demanded to show the money first.
When the policeman handed Vaño the money, she told Omega to get the shabu inside the house.
While Omega hands over the shabu to Vaño, Buscato immediately made a “miss call” on his cell phone to his teammates that led to the arrest of the two suspects.
Several drug paraphernalia were also recovered from inside the house. — Jasmin R. Uy/WAB
