Man shot, stabbed dead along the road

CEBU - A man was found dead with a gunshot and two stabbed wounds in the neck at around 3:30 a.m. yesterday in barangay Canlumampao, Toledo City.

Apolinario Tiin, Jr., 39, resident of brgy. Talavera, Toledo City was found dead near his Skygo motorcycle on the roadside.

Investigation conducted by SPO1 Manuel Elijay of Toledo Police Station showed that the victim’s body was first discovered by his nephew, Juvel Sultran, a motorcycle-for-hire driver and resident of sitio Dakit, brgy. Cambang-og.

Sultran immediately have the incident reported to the police who responded to the area and recovered one piece of live ammunition of 9 mm caliber in the crime scene.

In an interview, PO3 Jerson Lebumfacil said that they are still conducting follow up investigation to determine the motive of the killing and for identification of the assailant for his possible arrest and filing of charges.
