PRO-7 needs 250 new policemen

CEBU - With a quota of 250 slots allotted to Central Visayas, the Police Regional Office-7 is now accepting qualified applicants who wish to join the Philippine National Police under this year’s Phase II Attrition Recruitment Program for Police Officer 1.

The Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Division (RPHRDD) of PRO 7 is now in the process of accepting the applicant’s folders of requirements for evaluation.

All applicants must pass through initial screening by their respective city or provincial police directors who will then submit the applicants’ list to a committee for recommendation to the mayor.

It is the mayor who will endorse the applicant to the PRO 7 regional director.

The individual applicant is obliged to retain a copy of the mayor’s endorsement and attach the same in their folder for submission to the office of RPHRDD. The conduct of the actual recruitment and selection process will be announced afterward.

The RPHRDD will start accepting the applications on September 15, 2008.

With regards to the general qualification for appointment for PO1, applicants are advised to visit personally the office of the RPHRDD at PRO7 which is based at Camp Sergio Osmeña Sr., Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City. — Joy Kareen T. Saliente/WAB (THE FREEMAN)
