Unidentified men burglarized the Municipal Engineering Office of Cordova Thursday night, taking away a laptop computer and an LCD projector.
The burglary was discovered by municipal engineer Soripo Singculan when he reported to his office early Friday morning.
He said the laptop computer was worth P50,000 but did not mention how much was the LCD projector.
Singculan, who reported the incident to the Cordova Police station, believes that the burglary took place Thursday night when the culprits forcibly detached the window lock at the back of his office.
Meanwhile, a 27-year-old collector lost his P20,000 collection to three unidentified men who robbed in barangay Taytay, Danao City.
Rante Barriga, collector of Sikap-Carmen branch, told the Danao City police that while he was doing his collection rounds, motorcycle-riding men pointed a gun of unidentified caliber at him and declared a holdup.
It was hard to identify the men as they were wearing crash helmets, Barriga said.
After his bag was taken, Barriga said one of the men fired at him before they sped towards barangay Tabok. — Garry B. Lao/MEEV
