PDEA member allegedly threatened fellow agent

A member of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency has been accused of threatening a PDEA confidential agent with an armalite rifle in front of the PDEA office in R. Landon St., barangay San Antonio, Cebu City, last Wednesday evening.

Jesus Lopez, 64, a member of Narcotics Intelligence Education Association and a resident of barangay Casuntingan, Mandaue City, accused a certain Rey Yap, of threatening him.

Lopez said Yap pointed the rifle at him for no apparent reason when he went to PDEA office and told him: “Bisag kinsa ‘noy palabanon nimo” before bringing him inside the PDEA Office for a confrontation.

Lopez did not tell police what happened after that but he and his witness Rodolfo Delfino were advised by NIEA vice president Alfredo Villacencio to report the incident to the Pari-an police station.-Princess Mondejar, CNU intern/BRP
