6-hour blackout to hit Naga today

A six-hour power interruption will hit a portion of Poblacion Proper and East and West Poblacion in the town of Naga today from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

According to the Visayan Electric Company, this is needed in order to facilitate the replacement of a rotten pole and the transfer of all attachments to the new pole.

On Wednesday, a nine-hour power interruption will occur at a portion of the Maria Luisa Subdivision including Paseos Annabelle, Maria Luisa, Emilio, Maria, Melissa, Antonio, Ananias, Stephania, Luis Miguel and Paseo Rosebud.

The brownout which will start from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. will be made in order for VECO to facilitate line enhancement by replacing rotten poles, primary lines and pole attachments.

This interruption is needed to improve VECO’s facilities in the areas mentioned and to further augment its services to clients. — Mitchelle L. Palaubsanon/RAE
