CPPO revamps chiefs in 4 towns
The Cebu Provincial Police Office yesterday implemented a revamp in police stations where the station chiefs are holding SPO3 or SPO4 ranks.
CPPO chief for administration Chief Superintendent Audie Villacin said the new assignments, which will take effect February 1, was done so that all station chiefs in the province will at least be police inspectors in rank.
Among those affected by the revamp are Inspectors Milo Dagasdas and Amadeo Pepito from the Provincial Security Service Group, who were assigned to the Ronda and Malabuyoc police stations, respectively; Senior Inspector Richard Oliver of the Provincial Mobile Group is now assigned at the Santander police station, while Inspector Errol Francis de Vera replaces SPO3 Joseph Yongco of the San Fernando Police station.
Villacin said there are still 17 police stations being manned by SPO3s and SPO4s and the CPPO is still looking for personnel to take over these positions.
In choosing stations chiefs for towns and cities, local chief executives are given a list with three to five names of candidates from which they choose the station chief for their town or city. — Garry B. Lao/QSB
