The policeman who lost his service firearm to burglars last Sunday dawn in Buena Hills, barangay Guadalupe, has been ordered investigated by city police director Patrocinio Comendador for serious irregularity in the performance of duty.
Comendador said PO1 Julius Aniñon, who is assigned to the Vice Control Section, may be dismissed from service if they find enough evidence for serious irregularities for losing his .45 cal. Armscor pistol with magazine.
Technically the gun is still property of the city government.
Comendador ordered Sr. Insp. George Ylanan of the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Branch to do the investigation and have Aniñon relieve from the VCS to another police unit where he cannot influence the investigation.
'He will be indicted for serious irregularity in performance of duty...we will give him the benefit of the doubts but tan-awon man ang mga mitigating circumstances,' Comendador said.
Aniñon claimed that while he was sleeping in his girlfriend's house, unidentified men entered by detaching the glass jalousie blades in the comfort room and took his gun and jewelry on top of a small table.
