The victim, identified as Jorge Castañares of Triple K Taxi, reported the incident to the Parian Police Station.
The victim told police that two of the robbers, who were armed with a handgun and a knife, are in their early 20s while the other is in his 30s.
According to Castañares, the robbers boarded his cab at Fuente Osmeña and asked him to bring them to Lorega-San Miguel.
But upon reaching the area, the two younger robbers who were seated at the back passenger seat pulled out a knife and a gun and announced the hold-up. The other robber then divested the victim of his money.
The robbers immediately alighted the cab and fled towards the interior portion of the barangay while the victim went to the police to report the incident.
The victim said he did not put up a fight since he feared for his life.
