Three female suspected drug pushers eluded arrest from a raid conducted by the City Police Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Branch last Friday at sitio Mahayahay in barangay Calamba.
The three were Dalina Villanueva Nabua, Maricris Blanca Villanueva, and Marilyn "Mayang" Entoma-all residents of the place who were allegedly engaged in illegal drug deals.
The CIIB raiding team, led by Supt. Pablo Labra, had a search warrant against them that was issued by Regional Trial Court-branch 9 Judge Geraldine Faith Econg, but the they were not in their houses during the raid.
Although the three women were not around, the CIIB policemen went on with the search of their houses, as witnessed by representatives of the suspects, tanods of the barangay, and some media reporters.
From the house of Nabua, the police seized four empty medium size packs supposedly for packing shabu, and P1900 and $20 dollars in cash that was believed to be proceeds from illegal drug deals.
From the house of Villanueva, the police also seized one big plastic pack, two medium-size packs and one small pack, all containing suspected shabu.
From the house of Entoma, the police further seized one big plastic pack, and seven small packs that also contained suspected shabu.
Although the suspects are still at-large, the police would still file the charges against them tomorrow at the City Prosecutor's Office for alleged violation of the Dangerous Drugs Law. - Edwin Ian Melecio/RAE
