Police arrested a suspected bigtime drug pusher and confiscated several home appliances, guns and packs of drugs from his "hideout" located in barangay Suba yesterday morning.
The suspect was identified as William Aragon, a resident of Sawang-Calero but is now living in a 40-footer van in Suba.
Armed with a warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 10 Judge Soliver Peras, elements of the San Nicolas Police Station led by SPO3 Alfredo Cabildo raided the house of the suspect.
Cabildo told The Freeman that Aragon has been on their watch list of drug personalities.
During Cabildo's arrest, police found three big packs of suspected shabu, a .45 caliber pistol with three loaded magazines, a .22 caliber airgun with telescope with 50 live bullets, several drug paraphernalia and a P1,500 cash believed to be proceeds from his illegal trade.
Police also seized three television sets, four sets of speakers, three security cameras, a Tag Heuer wristwatch, an air-conditioning unit, a digital videodisc player, and a monitoring detector.
The suspect claimed that those seized items were pawned to him, but Cabildo said: "Pinerenda man kuno ning uban, pero way siguro sad kay mao man gud ning negosyo sa ilegal nga drugas, swap-swap ra man na."
According to Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Branch chief Pablo Labra, Aragon would always manage to elude arrest during their operations.
Labra said they once arrested Aragon while he was still assigned to the San Nicolas Police Station in 1996.
