A Briton fell victim to two men who robbed him at the corner of V. Sotto and Osmeña streets, Cebu City, last Tuesday night. The victim was identified as John Baptist Andre, 47, a tourist billeted at the West Gorordo Hotel along Gorordo Avenue, Cebu City.
SPO1 Mario de la Peña of the Waterfront police station said that the victim was waiting for a taxi to bring him to his hotel when one of the men came up from behind and grabbed his arms, holding them behind him. The other man demanded for his valuables.
Afraid of getting hurt, the victim let the robbers take the P10,000 from his pocket and his Indian gold jewelry worth P91,000.
After the two took his belongings, they hastily left the place and Andre then proceeded to the Waterfront police station to report the incident.
